I love the energy that our partners and clients bring to the showroom – it’s infectious and gives us creative drive heading into the post-market months.
- What are you most looking forward to this Market?
I’m excited for High Point Market to get back in a familiar rhythm of meeting in April and October. The last two years have been hard with the pandemic, and it will be exciting for everyone to experience the familiarity and comfort of HPMKT’s regular schedule.
- What’s EJ Victor doing that you’re most excited about this Market?
EJ Victor has committed to producing our best-selling pieces in our Morganton, NC factory. I can’t wait for our customers to see the positive difference in quality that domestic manufacturing can have versus imported products.
- What makes High Point Furniture Market different than other industry trade shows?
High Point Market is one-of-a-kind. Whereas other trade shows can have a quality of flash and pizazz, High Point is different because of its authenticity. The history of furniture craftsmanship in North Carolina is long, and you can feel that history in the High Point air. The best moments at HPMKT are the ones where everything feels down-to-earth and close to home.

Walking through the showroom once all the furniture is placed and seeing how it all works together with all the accessories, rugs and lighting. It just makes it feel glamorous.
- What are you most looking forward to this Market?
Seeing the designer’s faces when we bring in a new piece of furniture and they see it for the first time in the market fabric and finish.
- What’s EJ Victor doing that you’re most excited about this Market?
We have started making tables in house that we were previously outsourcing from another vendor.
- What makes High Point Furniture Market different than other industry trade shows?
I feel that furniture is universal. People always need a place to sit. But to me, furniture has a more personal connection. You’re not just marketing stuff, you’re marketing furniture. Furniture that will go into people’s homes. Furniture that will be lived on, the children will play on. Furniture that will be become part of the home and memories. There’s a deeper connection there.
