EJ Victor Receives NC Rural Infrastructure Authority Grant
The $240,000 grant will support factory building renovations and create 30 jobs within the state of NC.
EJ Victor, Inc., a locally owned manufacturer of high-end furniture in Morganton, NC, is pleased to announce that the company has received a grant of $240,000 to support factory building renovations. The grant request was approved under the Building Reuse Program’s Existing Business Building category. EJ Victor will be investing $1,617,880 in the project, which is expected to create 30 jobs within the state of NC.
Governor Roy Cooper announced on December 9 that the NC Rural Infrastructure Authority Grants will total more than $4.1 million in funding for rural communities that will lead to job creation and boost local economies with private investments.
“We are very appreciative of the grant opportunity and how it will assist us in our expansion plans," said David Bennett, President of EJ Victor. "The grant will specifically allow us to convert a section of our factory that was once used to house imported products into a manufacturing floor that will domestically produce case goods and upholstery."
EJ Victor plans to renovate a 195,000-square-foot building in Morganton to support expansion of their product lines, including furniture and casegoods. The renovation will also support the ongoing growth of their employee base and contribute to the local economy. The company also owns a showroom in High Point, NC which is open year-round for designers, retailers, and other customers through High Point by Design (HPXD).
